When did you get involved in EcoWomen? Why?

I got involved January 2024 to connect with like-minded women who are passionate about making a positive impact on the environment and their communities.

What sparked your interest in the environment/environmental movement?

Seeing how systemic change can drive sustainability inspired me to align my work with meaningful environmental and social impact.

What’s something exciting that you’re working on?

I run Smartass Cards, an e-card business that brings humor and authenticity to loss and sympathy cards. A portion of our proceeds is donated to SeaTrees and Justdiggit, supporting reforestation and ocean restoration efforts. I’m also organizing a Slack community for group buying to support DEI-friendly and sustainable businesses.

What keeps you motivated?

The idea that small, collective actions can lead to meaningful change, and the opportunity to collaborate with people who share that vision.

Where does the environmental movement have room for improvement?

Making sustainability more accessible to diverse communities and ensuring that environmental efforts are inclusive and equitable.

Do you have any advice for those who are new to the environmental movement?

Start where you are, focus on progress over perfection, and connect with a community that shares your values.
